In the meantime . . .

Hello everyone!
I hope this finds you healthy and coping well with the Covid-19 pandemic. Every one of us is in ‘pivot’ mode more or less and live music has taken a huge hit of course. How about some good news? I will be playing a Live Stream set hosted on Facebook by Brentwood Bay Village Empourium on May 29 at 8 pm Pacific Time! I’ll be playing songs from my recent release Outskirts of Love and some of the vintage blues that I adore.

I’ve also released ‘I’m a Drifter’, a song I wrote in Texas and recorded as a demo in Nashville in 2011. You can listen and download on Bandcamp. I was feeling free and easy driving around the Texas Hill Country in 2010. The song sparked when I crested a hill revealing a gorgeous vista. The photo above is from my room at a guest house where I finished the rest of the song.

I guess it will be a while before any of us is exploring the open road. I have shows booked in August (Victoria) and September (Duncan) and I’m waiting on final word whether they will go ahead-stay tuned to the Shows page for updates. In the meantime, new song ideas are scattered on pieces of paper all over my desk and there’s always practicing to do!

Stay connected,
Sue
