One of the many things I’m learning about singing in the studio is to imagine there’s an audience. I am so looking forward to landing my debut CD Outskirts of Love in your ears–whether it’s digitally or from your CD player (anybody other than me still have one of those?) or at a show this summer and fall.
Speaking of shows; the tour plans for BC and Alberta are well underway. Victoria area people: September 14 is the CD release party, come and celebrate with me! I know many of you live in the Edmonton area: please join me on October 5, more details to follow. Other dates will also be announced soon–still looking to fill a few spots so if you have a venue suggestion in your area or would like to host a house concert, I’m all ears!
Back to the here-and-now: Recording final vocals is nearly done and then my producer Wynn Gogol will shift into mixing mode so we can get the CD’s pressed and sleeves printed. I am so grateful to be collaborating with my mom Pat Decker and longtime friend Dana Koch at Spryberry for the cover artwork. There are previews of the design on my new Instagram @suedeckermusic and you can always catch up with me on Facebook.
Thanks for reading and connect with you soon!
